Offella is a soft leavened desert from the area of Verona of a very ancient origin having a dome-like shape. It is held to be the ancestor of the famous Pandoro of Verona. The historical recipe calls for a calibrated use of butter, sugar, egg, flour, mother dough (starter), and vanilla beans. In our version, it is enriched by a luscious filling based on the sweet wine Recioto di Soave “Arzimo”, making it all the more sumptuous to the taste.
