La Cappuccina Soave organic wine vino biologico

2019    La CAPPUCCINA  Soave  The 2019 Soave is spicy and fresh with a display of lemon zest, kiwi and hints of ginger. Its textures are silky, casting ripe orchard fruits offset by minerals across a medium-bodied frame. This cleans up beautifully with hints of sour citrus and an almost salty feel throughout the finale. There's a lot of character packed into this excellent entry-level Soave, and it’s a great value too.    89

2018    La CAPPUCCINA   Soave   SAN BRIZIO

The 2018 Soave San Brizio wafts up with mineral intensity, as crushed stone blows off to reveal musky apricot and savory spice. It’s silky in texture and rich, with a pure display of ripe peaches plus a hint of sour citrus and vanilla bean. Honeyed florals offset by a twang of lemon zest linger throughout the long, refreshing finale. While a bit large-scale in feel, the San Brizio maintains perfect balance. Very nice.    91

2016    La Cappuccina   Recioto di Soave ARZIMO

The 2016 Recioto di Soave Arzimo is a deep golden color with a seductive bouquet that mixes dried apricots and pears with roasted almond and a hint of vanilla bean. There are depths of glycerol textures here, perfectly contrasted by bright acids, candied citrus and a sweet-and-sour mix of stone fruits. The Arzimo finishes fresh on tropical tones, with hints of mango and papaya tapering off to honeyed inner florals.  91

2019  La CAPPUCCINA  Soave Classico MONTE STELLE

A vivid display of ripe pear with a spritz of lime and dusty florals lifts up from the 2019 Soave Classico Monte Stelle. This fills the palate with soft textures, excited by zesty acids, sour citrus and tart green apple. It’s squeaky-clean throughout the lip-smacking finale, with a slight herbaceousness that I find quite appealing.   89
