The rite of ringing the bell on St John the Baptist 's day

“What is a ritual?” said the little prince.
“This is also a thing long forgotten,” said the fox.
“It is what makes a day different from other days, an hour from other hours.
There is a centuries-old ritual in our family:
“Celebrating mass in the chapel dedicated to St. John the Baptist on the day of his birth, June 24th.
It's the Summer Solstice!
The bell is ringing, ready! “
This year we have celebrated the Eve surrounded by the affection of our fellow countrymen.
Hands shaking, gazes crossing between a happy Soave toast, how many memories re-emerge among those who have lived over 80 and 90 years and more trusting in devotion to heaven.
We hope to pass on this beautiful tradition.
p.s. It's Sisto Tessari who rings the bell, it seems easy but it really isn't!
